Digital Community Manager

Pre-revenue startup backed by one of the most successful entrepreneurs in food/bev is seeking a Digital Community Engagement Manager to lead all things digital and be the voice of the brand. This role is ideal for someone that is highly creative but also strategically grounded in the marketing objectives and brand purpose.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience successfully owning the digital community for young, up and coming brands.  This candidate should have a creative and entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic who is constantly thinking of ways to innovate, scale, and disrupt.  A strong sense for design and owning the brand voice and personality is key to success.

Essential duties of this role include:

  • Plan, implement, manage, and optimize branded content on all social platforms. This includes not just the art/illustration/photography development, but also the principles that guide the content strategy
  • Define KPIs and create a monthly dashboard to analyze work and outline areas to optimize.  An ability to translate analytics into actionable strategy
  • Build and scale fan base with relevant target market for social
  • Blogger outreach – identify credible voices within relevant fields and let them know about the brand (think of this as curated PR)
  • Influencer/Ambassador program development and management – identify and engage with key influencers and create tactics to scale the program
  • Own our email newsletter development program to drive additional opt-ins as part of a user acquisition strategy for DTC
  • Define best practices for engagement
  • Engage with local communities online to drive awareness of grassroots initiatives
  • Work alongside VP of Marketing to define goals and objectives
  • Maintain on-going dialogue with consumers and be the voice of the brand through owned channel


  • 5+ years of managing social media and community platforms
  • Experience working in natural food/bev. industry or lifestyle brands
  • Analytical mindset with ability to understand how social campaigns deliver impact marketing and company goals
  • Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
