The business world.
Consumers’ expectations of business are shifting, connectivity through technology is growing and companies are becoming more aware of the inevitability of community-driven business.
Entire industries are scrambling to reinvent their business models as a result of the power of these changes – the taxi industry, the semiconductor industry, media companies, hotel chains, education. The list goes on. Community has become a new competitive advantage.
Businesses must reinvent themselves around the power of the people that they serve. This idea has been building for decades, as more and more consumer technology has put people around the world in contact with one another and put the power in their hands. Now we are at a critical moment.
At CMX we’ve always said that community is the future of business. Well, that future is here right now.
Community professionals are the people making this future a reality, steering businesses large and small in the right direction. Now, more than ever, we need the tools and the inspiration to navigate these new waters. We need leaders to show us the way.
At CMX Summit, we gather those leaders together so that they have the opportunity to lead one another. With that in mind, we are thrilled to announce…

Elizabeth Milch, Deputy Director of Content at Genius
Elizabeth “Liz” Milch is the Deputy Director of Content for Genius, the Internet’s largest home for lyrics and crowdsourced musical knowledge. In this role, Liz oversees the creation and distribution of Genius’s content on Genius.com and other platforms, including its social media and video channels. Liz came aboard Genius in January 2014 as its first Senior Community Manager, scaling the site’s mission and working with talented Genius scholars to annotate millions of songs.
