Leah McGowen-Hare is the SVP, Trailblazer Community at Salesforce, and is passionate about making learning accessible and empowering everyone to have a career in technology. Leah is an accomplished and dynamic Master Technical Trainer for Salesforce with over 20+ years of experience in technology; mastering a variety of roles including Consultant, Developer, Manager, and Technical Trainer. Leah is one of the brains behind Be a Multiplier, a program that inspires people to be multipliers that will amplify and encourage their communities to skill up for the jobs of today and tomorrow using Trailhead. She uses her knowledge and experience to demystify and make technology more accessible to youth, girls, communities of color, and Veterans through organizations such as BlackGirls Code, Hidden Genius Project, Girls Who Code, and Vetforce. Leah is married to Shane Hare and has 3 children. She enjoys working out, and traveling with her family.

Monica Silvestre, Global Head of Community at Canva

In her 14 years of community experience, Monica is a pioneering leader who has shaped global community programs for renowned brands like Canva and Yelp. As Canva's Global Head of Community, she leads a team of global community builders and strategists who have helped strengthen Canva's connection to passionate users and developed Canva's presence in over 100 countries. Monica's expertise in building vibrant, inclusive communities that help drive brand growth has been instrumental in delivering Canva's community success.

Derek Andersen, CEO of Bevy

Derek Andersen Bevy

For the past 15 years, Derek has been building communities. He is the co-founder/CEO of Bevy, a SaaS product that helps companies like Salesforce, Atlassian, Google, Snowflake, and Adobe build virtual and in-person communities. He co-founded Startup Grind, a community of 600 Chapters in 125 countries educating, inspiring, and connecting startup people. Since 2012 Startup Grind has hosted 10,000 events for more than 500,000 people. In 2010 he co-founded Commonred, which was acquired by Income.com. Derek also previously worked as a product manager at Electronic Arts. He currently lives in Palo Alto, CA, with his wife and four children.

Morgan Wood, Head of Community at Hivebrite

Morgan Wood is an influential community leader and gender equity advocate. As the Head of Community at Hivebrite, her work underlines the intersection of community building and gender equity. Previously at the United Nations Foundation's Girl Up initiative, she brought about a transformative increase in engagement, inspiring and empowering young community builders globally. With a background in Political Science, she adeptly integrates global perspectives into cross-cultural strategies.

Usha Iyer, President & Chief Revenue Officer of Hivebrite

Usha, the President & Chief Revenue Officer at Hivebrite, brings over 20 years of experience in product and strategy roles, specializing in the development and launch of successful software platforms to address complex challenges. Taking a customer-centric approach, she oversees Hivebrite's global marketing and revenue operations, ensuring they are in line with the company's comprehensive go-to-market strategy. Previously, Usha served as the Chief Product Officer, spearheading the growth of Hivebrite's product, teams, and processes. Outside of her professional endeavors, Usha actively volunteers for a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting resilience and improving mental health in adolescents and their communities.

Will Curran, Founder & Chief Event Einstein at Endless Events

As the founder of Endless Events, & creator of the #EventProfs Community, and host of the event industry podcasts, #EventIcons, Event Brew, and Event Tech Podcast, Will Curran has been named one of the most influential people in the meeting & events industry, one of the 40 under 40 event industry leaders, 35 entrepreneurs under the age of 35, and the highest customer satisfaction of any event company in the industry. 

Will has been producing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events since high school when he started his first company and has now worked in the management of large event clients such as Amazon, Anheuser-Busch, Warner Brothers, Louis Vuitton & Uber. His team’s mission is to simplify the event planning process by creating the equation for an event’s perfect solution. From event management to business development to the latest technologies, Will Curran has a diverse background in growing events and companies to the next level.

Evelyn Wiseman, Head of Community at Youshd

Evelyn Wiseman Youshd

Evelyn is an indoorsy Canadian who has worked in the community for 15 years in start-ups from the seed stage to post IPO. She continues to build teams that cover community *and* marketing functions and is becoming somewhat of an expert on what can fall under community and what absolutely should not. She holds a certificate in Anti-oppressive Language, believes in the power of words, and loves building spaces where everyone can belong.
