Nicole Saunders, Director of Community at Zendesk
In her 12 years as a community professional, Nicole’s experience has ranged from consulting to launching communities for startups to currently leading the community team at Zendesk. She’s built communities across forums, social media, and offline. Her background also includes social media management, event production, communications, and freelance writing.
Nicole has become known at Zendesk as a strategic connector and has made it her team’s mission this year to identify opportunities to reduce redundancies and increase efficiency through cross-functional projects and collaboration.
Alaina Percival, Co-Founder & CEO of Women Who Code
Alaina Percival is the CEO and co-founder of Women Who Code. Under Alaina’s leadership, the organization has grown to serve 343,000 members in 147 countries. Alaina is an accomplished global tech speaker, appearing at WSJ.d Live, CodeMotion Milan, Grace Hopper, Columbia University’s Social Enterprise, Harvard WECode, and more. Alaina has spoken on a range of topics, from development and retention models to intersectional diversity and equity-centered decision-making in data strategy for the United Nations to Social Justice and Advocacy in STEM at Harvard University.
Alaina is also an Angel Investor, a Venture Partner at Valor Ventures, and a Scout for Picus Capital, and in 2022 she taught WomenLead in Technology at Georgia State University.
Alaina has two young sons, loves chocolate, and has been to more than 75 countries.
Abbiola Ballah, Equity & Inclusion Consultant; Founder & CEO of Phern Education Studios LLC
Abbiola Ballah (she/her) is an Equity & Inclusion Consultant, Mentor & Speaker, and Founder of Phern Education Studios. She founded Phern Education Studios to be a catalyst for change in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) space by prioritizing not just learning but taking action. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Abbiola has lived internationally in Japan, the USA, and Belize for 20+ years and worked as an educator and program designer for 17+ years, giving her a unique lens through which she approaches equity and inclusion.
Abbiola provides Equity & Inclusion coaching and consulting services to values-driven professionals, leaders, and organizations who work beyond borders to make an impact and is also currently a part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Database of DEI Practitioners. She is a dynamic speaker who has been featured on several podcasts and has spoken to international audiences at conferences and summits. Abbiola is an avid reader, travel nerd, theatre buff, and Japanese karaoke queen.

Having worked on various projects, programs, and experiences at major companies such as Google, Cisco, and the London 2012 Olympic Games, he has gained extensive experience in the field.
As one of the first Community Strategy Consultants in Turkey and one of only a handful around the world, Ilker provides specialized services with a focus on brand, developer, and talent communities. In addition to his consulting work, he is also the founder of CMX Connect Istanbul, which is the local chapter of the world’s largest community of Community Management professionals.

Francisco Cruz Mendoza is the Global Community Lead at Notion where he helps support the kindest community on the internet. He brings over a decade of experience in the space and pioneered community program playbooks that are used at various organizations around the world.
