David Spinks, Co-founder of CMX

David Spinks is a highly experienced community builder, best-selling author, and renowned speaker. He is the author of the best-selling book, The Business of Belonging, and also writes a popular newsletter on business and community. David has consulted with hundreds of businesses on their community strategy, including Google, Prenda, Facebook, Udemy, and Shopify. With years of experience under his belt, David co-founded CMX and served as VP of Community at Bevy.

Mindy Day, Head of Community at Discord

With over a decade of experience building and nurturing communities, Mindy Day has built a treasure trove of Community Marketing expertise. Through developing and executing strategies to engage community members, she's been successful in demonstrating impact for both the business and the members. Mindy strives to create an environment that's collaborative, empathetic, and creative, whether that's within the community or the teams she leads.

George Samuels, Fractional Chief Community Officer / Head of Community of Bitcoin Association

George Siosi Samuels is a Fractional Chief Community Officer. He’s a 3x founder, Head of Community at Bitcoin Association, and Managing Director at Faiā. He’s an experienced facilitator, community builder, and corporate culture expert with a deep understanding of the digital landscape and the tools that help complex teams or communities communicate effectively. George translates highly technical concepts into understandable language, from Web3 and blockchain to AI. George has won multiple awards and has been featured by the likes of Business Insider, Discover Magazine, and Tech In Asia.

Hawk, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Discourse

Hawk is a community expert of 20+ years. She began working as a software developer at Xerox in the '90s, where her interest in the tech community was sparked, leading to a career change. Her experience as Community Manager at SitePoint network, Head of Community at FeverBee, and an online community consultant finally led her to join Discourse, where she is now firmly ensconced as co–CEO. Outside of the 9-5, Hawk is a gym instructor, a wine drinker, and a mother of twins.

Richard Millington, Founder of FeverBee

My name is Samantha 'Venia' Logan, I do go by Venia, and the biggest thing about me is that I can fill a room. But then I'll spend the next 20 minutes making sure everyone gets their own share of voice. I love building robust online communities and geeking out about the social-scientific theories, frameworks, and strategies for doing so, I've built SociallyConstructed.Online, my consultancy and eCourse business, to teach community builders the social science of virtual spaces through an iterative co-learning framework.
