The past few years have been incredible. We've seen our community grow, met some fantastic people, and had some unique experiences. It's time to turn this energy into something even better: an even bigger community. And that's why we want as many people as possible to join us at CMX Summit 2022: Thrive!

At CMX, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to attend our summit—not just because it offers world-class education and makes for a fantastic networking experience. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to attend our conference because it's essential for inclusive spaces like ours to exist so that everyone can thrive and grow together.

That's why we created the CMX Summit Scholarship Program, to give people who might not otherwise be able to attend our event the opportunity to do so and make friends with other attendees through shared experiences.

Over the course of those years, we have given out more than 55 scholarships—and we're not done yet! We remain committed to staying involved in the community and supporting diversity in our industry by providing equal opportunities for growth and development. These scholarships are designed to help break down barriers that prevent people from participating in CMX Summit because of their race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation or preference, military service history, age, or disability status.

So this year, we're proud to announce that we're bringing back our scholarship program so that more people than ever can join us at CMX Summit 2022: Thrive!

As we're investing in growing the CMX Summit for 2022 — with over 5,000 hybrid attendees and 60 speakers — this program is growing too! This year's scholarship program will offer 25 scholarships, which will include an access pass to our two-day conference, CMX Summit 2022: Thrive.

What do scholarship recipients get?

  • One non-transferable pass to CMX Summit 2022: Thrive, our 2-day conference, happening 14-15th September in Redwood City, California.

We have a limited number of scholarships available, so please apply as soon as possible.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

To be eligible for the CMX Summit 2022 Scholarship Program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a member of an underrepresented group in the community professional field and at community conferences, including but not limited to: people of color; people with visible and invisible disabilities; LGBTQA+; veterans; religious and ethnic minorities; trans, genderqueer, agender, and nonbinary people; neurodiverse people; age minorities (under 21, over 50); working-class people; and people experiencing poverty.
  • Must be able to attend CMX Summit 2022 in person.
  • If employed, must work for a non-profit, startup, or company making less than $500,000 in annual revenue. Students and un- or underemployed people are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must follow the CMX Summit Code of Conduct.

Here are some things to keep into consideration before you apply:

  • You will be responsible for arranging your travel and lodging as a scholarship recipient. Please note that you are also responsible for your own financial reporting and that we will provide you with guidelines as needed.
  • Due to limited availability, CMX Summit can award only one scholarship per company. As cisgender women represent over 60% of attendees at CMX Summit, they are not considered an underrepresented group in our industry.

When is the deadline?

The deadline for application submission for scholarships is Wednesday, 07/27/22, at 5 pm PDT. We will notify you of the results of your application on Monday, 08/01/22.

How can I apply?

You can apply for the scholarship by filling out this form. We are so excited to be able to offer these scholarships.

We will notify all applicants regardless of whether or not they are selected for a scholarship. Feel free to contact us at krystal@cmxhub.com with any questions or concerns.

Best of luck, and we look forward to seeing you at the CMX Summit 2022: Thrive soon!
